The Miami Heat face off against the Philadelphia 76ers in the higher-seed play-in game on Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. The winner of this game earns the No. 7 seed, and the loser plays for the No. 8 seed. The 76ers are 5.5-point favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook, and the total is set at 207.5.
Here’s a look at a few of our favorite player props bettors should target in this contest.
Tyrese Maxey over 24.5 points (+102)
In Maxey’s last three games, he has scored 52, 26, and 28 points. He should be able to keep that offensive momentum going as the stakes rise for the postseason. The Sixers will need to be careful with Embiid, which means they will look elsewhere for scoring opportunities. Maxey had 37 points in his last game against the Heat, so back him to go over this line tonight.
Joel Embiid over 11.5 rebounds (-108)
Embiid doesn’t have much of a matchup with Bam Adebayo under the rim in this play-in, and should be able to grab plenty of rebounds with his size advantage. He has hit double-digit rebounds in each of his last three starts, though he struggled on the boards against the Heat earlier this month. I think he goes over here.
Jimmy Butler over 35.5 points + rebounds + assists (+114)
Playoff Jimmy is back, and we can expect things to start off with a bang here. This is a fairly high total, but Butler tends to step things up to the next level during the postseason. In his most recent matchup against the Sixers, he totaled 29 PRA so the jump here is not too extreme given the stakes. Butler has struggled to get going for much of the season but he exploded last year in this same spot. Even if the Heat don’t win this game, Butler should have a strong all-around showing.
Tyler Herro over 4.5 assists (-105)
With Rozier sidelined, Herro will see an increase in responsibility and offensive load on the court, and that should translate to assists. Herro averages 4.5 assists per game, behind only Butler and Rozier. Herro had seven assists the last time he faced the Sixers so I think he can go over this total again Wednesday night.
