In Tuesday’s game vs. the Mets, Phillies P Cristopher Sanchez left the game due to left forearm soreness. Before exiting, he pitched two innings and gave up four hits and two runs. He threw 58 pitches in just those two innings.
The Phillies were on a winning streak with Sanchez behind the mound, so this injury comes at a bad time. Prior to Tuesday, Philadelphia had won 11 consecutive games when he starts (including the postseason).
