The PGA TOUR heads to Avondale, Lousiana for the Zurich Classic this week. TPC Lousiana will be the host course and measures as a 7,425-yard par 72 with Poa Trivialis overseeded greens.
This is not a normal week, as we’ve reached the lone team event on the PGA TOUR calendar. There will be 80 teams of two golfers teeing it up, with the top-33 teams (and ties) making the cut after Friday’s second round.
In addition, the scoring will be a bit different as well this week. During the first and third rounds, best-ball (four-ball) scoring will be in effect, where each golfer plays their own ball for the entire hole and the best score of the two is the one that gets used. During the second and final rounds, alternate shot will be in effect, where each golfer will take turns hitting the same ball until the ball is holed.
Below, I have outlined three of my favorite DraftKings plays for the week.

Rory McIlroy/Shane Lowry ($12,400)
Unfortunately we are going to be eating the chalk this week with lads from Ireland. Without the Xander Schauffele/Patrick Cantlay duo in the field this week, there is simply no other team that offers the floor/ceiling combination that McIlroy/Lowry bring.
It’s a bit surprising that McIlroy is still teeing it up after his historic win at the Masters two weeks ago, but he and Lowry had already committed to this event well before Augusta. In case you forgot, these two are the defending champions of this event, as they outlasted Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer in a playoff last year to secure the victory.
Not much really needs to be said about either of McIlroy or Lowry’s statistical profile, as the pair rank fourth (Lowry) and first (McIlroy) in Total Strokes Gained over the past 24 rounds, and are arguably the two best overall golfers in the field. Combined, this duo has nine top-10 finishes in 18 total starts in 2025, while McIlroy has yet to finish worse than T17 all year.
The teams below them both on the odds board simply do not offer the same firepower right now, as Collin Morikawa is saddled with Kurt Kitayama, who has been largely awful so far in 2025, while Robert Macintyre has been struggling a bit on his own of late, and is playing with an out-of-form Thomas Detry.
You could certainly make arguments for both the Keith Mitchell/J.T. Poston and Ben Griffin/Andrew Novak teams, but when you factor in their high price tags, it’s simply too much risk, especially since you’re forced to fade the Irishmen in that scenario.
There is plenty of value this week to easily jam in this McIlroy/Lowry pairing, and it’s pretty hard to envision them finishing worse than T5 in a field like this.
Chan Kim/Doug Ghim ($7,800)
This pairing has sneaky final group potential, as both guys are playing really strong golf at the moment. Kim in particular has been on fire, posting his second straight top-seven finish last week at the Corales Puntacana Championship. He did that on the heels of a T5 performance at the Valero earlier this month, and has made five of his past seven cuts overall, with four top-17 finishes in that stretch.
We have no Shotlink data from Punta Cana, being that it was an alternate event, but at the Valero, Kim gained seven strokes from tee-to-green and 4.3 on approach. As for his teammate, Ghim is coming off a very solid T18 finish at the Valero himself, where he gained five strokes ball-striking and 7.1 from tee-to-green.
I am trying to make it a focus to find teams that have played together before, and specifically played well together. This will be Kim and Ghim’s second year in a row teaming up, after posting a T28 finish here last year. Ghim had played with Justin Suh and Kramer Hickok in previous years at this event, and did post a T11 finish back in 2019, so he definitely has some good course familiarity.
Overall, this pairing is simply playing too well right now to cost only $7,800, making it one of the best values in the range.
Henrik Norlander/Luke List ($7,200)
This is way more about Norlander than it is List, but this will be the duo’s third consecutive year teaming together after T23 and T19 finishes in each of the past two. List has been pretty bad overall this season, making just 8-of-17 cuts dating back to the beginning of the Fall swing, but I firmly believe returning back to the friendly confines of TPC Louisiana, and teaming up with one of the hottest golfers in this field will rejuvenate him.
Norlander has arguably had his best PGA TOUR season to date in 2025, posting nine top-30 finishes in 18 starts dating back to the Sanderson Farms Championship in October. Over his past 36 rounds, the big Swede ranks ninth in this field in SG: Ball-Striking, including sitting second in SG: Approach behind only Sepp Straka.
Norlander is also coming off a T18 finish in Punta Cana last week, where he ranked 11th in the field in GIR% and eighth in driving accuracy. He’s been dialed in for some time now, and as long as Luke List keeps his tee shots in the fairway, the former should be able to propel his team to a third-straight strong finish this week at just $7,200.
