The Timberwolves pulled off the upset 117-95 in Game 1 despite Luka Doncic’s 37-point outing. Anthony Edwards finished with 22 points, nine assists and eight rebounds in a strong team showing.

Jaden McDaniels led Minnesota with 25 points and Naz Reid added 23 points. The Timberwolves shot 50 percent from deep, making 21-of-42 attempts.
