The Royals reached the playoffs last year for the first time since they won the World Series in 2015. Another postseason appearance is the goal this year with Bobby Witt Jr. leading the way.

The star shortstop was one of the leading AL MVP candidates heading into the season after placing second in the voting last year. He’s started the 2025 season strong, but the Royals are just 8-12.

Kansas City began a four-game series against the Tigers yesterday, losing the first game 6-1. It extends the team’s losing streak to four games amid its lengthy road trip.

The Royals, however are favored for tonight’s game. They are -148 on the moneyline and the game total is set at 7.5 runs on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Below I have featured my favorite Witt prop bets to consider from tonight’s contest.

Best Bobby Witt Jr. Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Bobby Witt Jr. 2+ total bases (-120)

At just 24 years old, Witt has established himself as one of the best players in baseball. He’s a five-tool player that can be the face of the Royals for over a decade. He hits for average and power, has speed and is an excellent fielder.

Witt is batting .307 through 75 at-bats this year. He’s tallied 24 hits, which is just four off the most in MLB. He also has eight doubles, which is tied for the third most and just two off the lead.

Doubles are a big part of Witt’s game. While he did mash 32 home runs last year, he’s a much better doubles hitter. The 24-year-old hit 45 doubles last year — it was the second most in all of MLB.

His blend of speed, power and contact is what makes him so dangerous to record doubles. He batted an MLB-best .332 last year and got on base at a .389 rate. This level of success at the plate is to be expected of Witt.

With him batting over .300 and already tallying eight doubles and two home runs, it’s reliable to bet on Witt to record at least two bases tonight. He’s accomplished this in three of the last four, including against the Tigers yesterday.

Witt can clear this prop in a multitude of ways. He can get two singles or he can tally one extra base hit, whether it’s a double, triple or home run. The star shortstop can do it all, which makes him such a threat for opposing pitchers.
