On Monday night’s 10-game Major League Baseball slate there are plenty of exciting ways to get a piece of the action on DraftKings Sportsbook. One of the most intriguing games on the slate is an AL East battle between the Red Sox and the Rays in Tampa Bay. With so many ways to break down the matchup, here are a few of my best bets for Red Sox vs. Rays on 4/14/25.

Red Sox Runs under 3.5 (+115)
The Red Sox avoided a sweep in Chicago and will head to Tampa to take on the Rays. They scored three runs in that win, but they have been held under this run line in six of the last seven games. In those seven games, the Red Sox have scored only a total of 14 runs. As a team, they’re hitting only .206 as a team with a .246 wOBA and only a single home run over that span.
Those games were played in the cold in Boston and Chicago, but even in the warmer weather, the offense could continue to struggle. They’ll have a tough matchup against Shane Baz who has been sharp in both his outings this season. He went six shutout innings against the Pirates in his first start of the year and allowed two runs in seven innings in his last start against the Angels.
With the Red Sox bats struggling as they come to Tampa, getting them at plus-money to be under three runs against Baz is one of my best bets for Red Sox vs. Rays on 4/14/25. You can take Baz to hold the Red Sox under 2.5 earned runs, but since that comes at -150, I prefer taking the under 3.5 runs overall at +115.
Jonathan Aranda Hits + Runs + RBI Over 1.5 (+100)
Aranda has been very productive for the Rays against right-handed pitching this season. On the season, he is hitting .395 (15-for-38) with two home runs, seven runs, eight RBI and a .497 wOBA. Against righties, Aranda has been even better, going 15-for-34 (.441).
Houck has also struggled on the opposite side of the split, allowing lefties to hit .367 with three homers and a .502 wOBA. Houck has given up eight runs in 16 1/3 innings, and while he was much better in his last outing, he has still looked very hittable.
He has over 1.5 hits, runs and RBI in six of his last seven games, and getting him at +100 to go over this total is a great number against
Tampa Bay Rays Total Bases Over 11.5 (-110)
Given how much Houck has struggled and how lefty-heavy the Rays lineup is, this is another nice way to back the Rays offense. Over their last six games, Tampa Bay’s lineup has hit nine home runs, two triples, seven doubles and 36 singles for 110 total bases. That gives them an average of 18.3 total bases per game over those six games, well over the 11.5 on this line.
Houck has had dominant outings in the past, but he hasn’t been at his best this year. By including the whole team in this over/under, it allows for a little more room for error instead of just backing a single player. While I wish the number was higher, I think this is one of the best bets for Red Sox vs. Rays on 4/14/25.
