The NBA regular season wraps up on Sunday with all 30 teams taking the court. The Dallas Mavericks are in action against the Memphis Grizzlies, but they’ll be without their star player for the contest.

Big man Anthony Davis has officially been ruled out due to injury management for a left adductor strain.

Davis is one of several key players who won’t take the floor for the Mavericks in the regular-season finale. Klay Thompson and P.J. Washington are also out. Center Dereck Lively II is doubtful, while Caleb Martin is questionable, too.

The long injury report is likely a product of a looming Play-In Tournament appearance on the horizon. The Mavericks, along with most other teams in the postseason picture, are resting players to avoid injuries before the playoffs begin.

Dallas holds the 10th seed in the Western Conference with a 39-42 record, though they can move to ninth with a win and a Kings loss. Either way, they’ll face Sacramento in the 9/10 play-in game next week and fight to stay alive in the postseason.
