The Mets take on the Athletics on Friday night in Sacramento. Here are the best player props to consider for Juan Soto on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Here are the latest odds for the Mets/Athletics matchup and Juan Soto’s prop bets:

  • Moneyline: Mets (-135)/Athletics (+114)
  • Run Line: Mets -1.5 (+120)/Athletics +1.5 (-142)
  • Juan Soto Hits: o0.5 (-210)/u0.5 (+155)
  • Juan Soto Home Runs: o0.5 (+400)
  • Juan Soto RBIs: o0.5 (+170)/u0.5 (-240)

It has been a decent start to his Mets career for Juan Soto. He has done a good job of getting on base but hasn’t been able to find his power quite yet. He has a .279 batting average and a .404 on-base percentage, but has only hit one home run and only recorded four RBIs. The Mets are playing solid baseball as a team, tied for the lead in the NL East with an 8-4 record. New York is heading out to the West Coast and hoping that Soto can find more of his power on the other side of the country.

JP Sears will be the starting pitcher for the Athletics tonight. Sears has been solid through two starts but did give up three runs against a bad Rockies lineup his last time out. The Athletics as a team, and Sears along with them, have been worse at home than on the road over the last couple of seasons. The vibes were terrible down the stretch in Oakland, and now, playing in a nearly empty minor league stadium in Sacramento, the vibes are even worse. The Athletics have been better on the road when playing in front of real crowds in real stadiums, even though they are the visitor. In his career, Sears has a 3.86 ERA on the road compared to a 4.88 ERA at home.

In even better news for Soto, the Athletics’ bullpen has really struggled so far this season. They have a bullpen ERA of 5.17, the fifth-worst mark in Major League Baseball this season. So, once Sears is out of the game, Soto will have even more chances to get on base. That is why my favorite prop for this game is for Soto to record o1.5 total bases. Soto has hit this number in three of his past four games, and against a poor pitching staff, he should do so again. Despite not finding a lot of power, Soto had multiple hits in two out of three games in the Mets’ last series against Miami. He is also always liable to launch out of the park or even just pick up a double to push him over this number.

Best Bet: Juan Soto o1.5 Total Bases (+125)
