With just a handful of games to go before the playoffs, one of the Orlando Magic’s starters may have suffered an injury.

Shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday’s game against the Boston Celtics.

Caldwell-Pope started on Wednesday but left the court after just seven minutes of action. After heading to the locker room for a bit, the 32-year-old came back to the bench but did not reenter the game.

Per the team, the veteran wing was sidelined with a sore left knee. The ailment doesn’t sound particularly serious, and could be a precautionary move as the team gears up for the postseason.

Caleb Houstan started the second half in KCP’s place.

At the time he exited the game, Caldwell-Pope had pulled down two rebounds, though he missed his lone three-point attempt. On the season, the former champion is averaging 8.9 PPG along with 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game as one of the Magic’s key role player.
