NBA Props: Best Jimmy Butler Bets for Warriors vs. Spurs on Wednesday 4/9/25

The chaos that is the Western Conference only intensifies today. Jimmy Butler and the Warriors are at the heart of it.

Sitting at 47-32 after last night’s victory in Phoenix, the Warriors remain tied with the Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, and Memphis Grizzlies. Golden State could fall to the seventh seed (and the play-in tournament) or be tied for the third seed when the dust settles tonight. But they’ll be focused on what they can control: a Spurs squad limping through a disappointing season.

Since Victor Wembanyama’s injury, the Spurs have gone from 23-29 and a potential play-in team to 32-47 and a lottery lock once again. There have been some solid veteran additions alongside the youth development, but Playoff Wemby remains a ways off. And on the back end of a back-to-back, it’s no wonder the Dubs are overwhelming favorites.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Golden State is a 17-point home favorite for this matchup. Let’s dig into the best Butler props for this contest.

For last night’s contest, I detailed why fading Jimmy’s production is the right move. It proved true as Butler recorded a 10/2/3 stat line with only four total field goal attempts.

And why mess with success? The Spurs aren’t nearly as deep in the dumps as the Phoenix Suns, but their motivation levels are low. Their valiant effort last night against the Los Angeles Clippers was appreciated by these Warriors, but they’ll be looking to put this one to bed early. Butler and the Warriors hope for a repeat of the last matchup, when Golden State won 148-106.

If that kind of result repeats, Jimmy will once again be content to play a passive role in this game as they gear up for the playoffs. It would take a second straight night of this Spurs team playing above their heads on the road against a 50-win kind of squad just for him to be close. I’m picking against that possibility.
