Jayson Tatum Injury Update: 4/8/25 at the Knicks

UPDATE: Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White are available today vs. the Knicks.

The Boston Celtics are locked into the number two seed in the Eastern Conference. With only four regular season games left, including a back-to-back on Tuesday and Wednesday, starters are going to get rested in preparation for the playoffs. For Tuesday, Jayson Tatum ($10,200), Jaylen Brown ($8,700) and Kristaps Porzingis ($8,100) are all listed as questionable while Jrue Holiday ($6,900) and Derrick White ($7,900) are probable. Al Horford has been ruled out.

With Horford out, Luke Kornet ($5,200) is going to see significant run. He has started two of the last five games, playing 26 and 21 minutes while contributing 36.5 and 24.5 FPTS. Against the Spurs, he received 31 minutes off the bench and went for 44.5 FPTS. If Porzingis is out, he will most likely see over 30 minutes of action. Neemias Queta ($3,500) could see an uptick in playing time, although he likely won’t see more than 20 minutes.

Sam Hauser ($4,400) will likely enter the starting lineup if one of Tatum or Brown is out. He’s primarily a three-point shooter, so the floor isn’t high, but he can pop off from time to time. Against Utah back in March, Hauser shot 11-of-23 and nine-of-19 from downtown, finishing with 33 points and six rebounds. That translated to 48.5 FPTS.

Rookie Baylor Scheierman ($4,000) could see over 20 minutes if Tatum or Brown is out. He’s primarily been playing in blowouts, but when he’s been on the court, he’s shown the ability to shoot from downtown, dish out some flashy passes and provide energy off the bench.
