UPDATE: Mitchell has returned to the game.

UPDATE: Mitchell has emerged from the locker room and is probable to return.

Early in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Sacramento Kings, Donovan Mitchell ($9,500) was making his way up the left side of the court when he stepped on the foot of Keon Ellis in the backcourt, causing him to roll his ankle. After writhing in pain on the sideline for a few minutes, Mitchell eventually made his way to the locker room under his own power, albeit with a limp.

Prior to exiting, Mitchell contributed 14 points, three rebounds, an assists and a steal in 18 minutes. De’Andre Hunter ($4,400) was the substitute for Mitchell.

With Mitchell off the court this season, Ty Jerome ($4,700) has seen the biggest usage bump of 4.97% while Darius Garland ($8,100) has seen a 4.15% increase.

Cleveland has four regular season games left with a back-to-back on Thursday and Friday. They have locked up the number one seed for the Eastern Conference, so they will likely be very conservative with Mitchell until the start of the playoffs.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
