Fred VanVleet Injury Update: 4/4/25 vs. the Thunder

Fred VanVleet ($6,800) has been dealing with a right ankle issue. It caused him to miss Wednesday’s game and Ime Udoka said that it could be something VanVleet has to manage the rest of the season. He is off the injury report for Friday’s showdown against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

VanVleet has been brutal this season, averaging 14.3 points while shooting 37% from the field and 34% from downtown. He’s also only dishing out 5.6 dimes. That said, he has championship experience and brings a toughness to an ascending Rockets team.

Tari Eason ($6,200) got the start for VanVleet on Wednesday and, normally, he would return to a reserve role. But with the suspension for Dillon Brooks, Eason will likely remain in the starting lineup.
