The Knicks have been weathering the storm without Jalen Brunson and have officially clinched a playoff berth for the third consecutive year.
Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart have combined for a 6-5 record since Brunson’s injury. One of these wins was against the Trail Blazers, who the Knicks will play on Sunday, March 30.
New York will host this round and is favored by eight points. The game total is set at 223.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Below, I have featured my favorite Anunoby prop bets to consider from this contest.
Best OG Anunoby Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
OG Anunoby over 20.5 points (-130)
Without Brunson, it’s been a win-by-committee play style in New York. Towns is the only other All-Star on the team, but it’s been a collective effort over the past 11 games.
It should be more of the same against the Trail Blazers on Sunday. Anunoby has benefitted from this as he’s averaging 22.4 points per game across this 11-game stretch. That’s up from his season average of 17.5. Furthermore, his average increases to 28.4 points per game over his last five outings.
Anunoby has hit the 30-point mark in two of the five games and hasn’t gone lower than 23 points in this span. He’s in line for another strong performance as Brunson remains out, and he has a good matchup in Portland.
The Trail Blazers have the 20th best defensive efficiency, and they allow the 21st most points per game to opposing forwards. While Toumani Camara is a great defender, he likely won’t be assigned to Anunoby all night.
The last time these teams played, Anunoby scored 23 points in an overtime victory. With the Trail Blazers still competing for a final play-in spot, it should be a competitive game in New York. That means Anunoby should play full minutes after having Sunday off.
