I’ll be writing up a Duke vs. Alabama preview and prediction before the game tips off tonight, but let’s turn our eyes to the Great North for a minute and salute the great state of Maine. We’re grateful to it for Cooper Flagg and all the excitement he’s brought to March Madness. Your NBA team might be even more grateful than Duke is, currently. In any case, he’ll be the absolute keystone to the Blue Devils’ Elite Eight hopes against an Alabama Team that just napalmed BYU out of Newark.

Best Cooper Flagg prop bet for Duke vs. Alabama
Cooper Flagg 9+ rebounds (+120)
Cooper Flagg’s ability to dominate on both ends of the floor is evident in his recent run through the tournament, and tonight’s Elite Eight matchup against Alabama presents an ideal opportunity for him to thrive on the glass. Alabama’s defense, while elite in many respects, struggles with limiting opponents’ rebounding efforts, particularly when facing players with Flagg’s size, length, and versatility. The Crimson Tide have been vulnerable in rebounding margin, ranking 186th in defensive rebounding rate (72.6%) in the 2024-2025 season, which is a glaring weakness that Flagg can exploit.
Alabama’s defense often collapses on interior threats, leaving the glass open for dynamic forwards like Flagg. This was evident in Alabama’s recent Sweet Sixteen win over BYU, where they allowed BYU to grab 36 total rebounds, including nine offensive boards. Flagg, with his 6’8″ frame and relentless motor, has been consistently crashing the boards in the tournament. In Duke’s Sweet Sixteen win over Arizona, Flagg pulled down 11 rebounds to go along with 30 points. That’s glass domination in a game that was characterized first by his scoring prowess, and only secondarily by physicality.
Against a team like Alabama, which will be focused on preventing Flagg from scoring at all costs, his role as a rebounding force becomes even more critical. With Flagg’s ability to impact the game on the boards, especially in transition and in high-pressure moments, this prop seems like the best value.
The Maine Event is tall like the pine trees of his great home state. He’ll double-double this game.
