Couple of the streaks we highlighted in Thursday’s MLB betting stats article are carrying into Friday’s slate. Will they maintain?

The MLB betting stats provide starting points for making the best picks possible on this slate.

Standout MLB Stats

Eugenio Suarez has 38 career plate appearances vs. Jameson Taillon (32 at-bats). While he’s only hitting .219 against the Chicago right-hander, Suarez does have five extra base-hits in this matchup.

Additionally, Suarez has a base hit in each of his last seven games vs. the NL Central.

Notable MLB Betting Splits

  • Although the Rockies have only seen 14% of the moneyline bets in their game vs. the Rays, Colorado has seen 30% of the moneyline handle.
  • While 52% of the moneyline bets have gone toward the Astros on Friday, 75% of the moneyline handle has been cast in the Mets’ direction.
  • There’s a near 50-50 split in percentage of game total handle from Cubs-Diamondbacks, with the under seeing 52%. However, the under accrued all that handle on just 38% of the game total bets.

5 Longest-Running Streaks

  • Michael Harris had a base knock in each of his previous 18 road games vs. another National League team.
  • Merrill Kelly struck out at least five hitters in each of his last 14 starts that the Diamondbacks were home favorites vs. another NL team. (Strikeouts thrown O/U is 4.5.)
  • Seiya Suzuki finished with one hit in each of his previous 13 games that the Cubs were a road underdog vs. another NL team.
  • Kyle Tucker logged a hit in each of his last 12 games that his team was a road underdog vs. an NL team.
  • Tommy Edman finished with a hit in each of his previous 11 games that the Dodgers were favored.

Active System: NRFI when Home Favorite is coming off a loss

As you might expect, there is a massive sample size for this system from last season. Of the 874 times this system was in play throughout 2024, NRFI hit 56.52% of the time (494-380).

Four games fit this system on Friday:

  • Mariners vs. Athletics
  • Padres vs. Braves
  • Dodgers vs. Tigers
  • Astros vs. Mets
