With multiple players, including Ja Morant (hamstring), already ruled out, Desmond Bane ($9,100) could be set up to carry a big workload again for the Grizzlies on Friday night. However, the team added him to the injury report as questionable with lower back soreness on Friday afternoon.

If Bane is out along with Morant, Scotty Pippen Jr. ($4,600) and Luke Kennard ($4,500) would need to step up and carry the offensive burden in the backcourt. Vince Williams Jr. ($3,500) could also help carry the load and even Cam Spencer ($3,000) might get minutes.
In the 11 games Morant has missed in 2025, Bane is averaging 48.6 fantasy points per game while only Jaren Jackson Jr. ($8,100) has a higher usage rate in those contests.
In the two games that both Morant and Bane missed since the first of the year, Jackson averaged 63.6 fantasy points while Pippen produced 36.1 fantasy points. Both would be outstanding NBA DFS plays if Bane is eventually ruled out for Friday’s matchup in Los Angeles.
