Steph Curry Injury Update: 3/22/25 vs. the Hawks

After exiting Thursday’s narrow victory over the Raptors with a pelvic contusion, Steph Curry underwent an MRI on Friday morning. Though the test revealed no structural damage, the former MVP is expected to miss the beginning of the Warriors’ upcoming road trip, which begins in Atlanta on Saturday.

Curry has missed a handful of games in 2024-25, the most recent of which coming earlier this week versus Milwaukee. Quentin Post stepped into the starting five for that contest, finishing with 14 points in 23.1 minutes. However, the biggest ramification of Curry in street clothes was Jimmy Butler’s role. The veteran not only became Golden State’s No. 1 offensive option, registering a team-high 24 points, but Butler also led the Warriors with 10 assists. In fact, Butler finished with a 27.6% usage rate and only two rebounds short of a triple-double.

Since making his debut with Golden State on February 8, Butler leads all qualified Warriors in usage rate (26.6%) and FPTS produced per minute (1.30) with Curry sidelined. Look for Brandin Podziemski and Jonathan Kuminga to also shoulder some additional scoring responsibility against the Hawks — or for however long Curry is out.
