The First Four continues on Wednesday night and the Round of 64 will be finalized. In the late matchup of the night, Texas faces Xavier in the battle of 11-seeds. The winner of this game will get to take on the 6-seed Illinois in the Round of 64. Texas is one of the record 14 SEC teams to make this year’s NCAA Tournament field. Xavier is one of five teams to make it out of the Big East Conference. This should be a great matchup between two exciting offensive teams.

Texas vs. Xavier Best Prop Bets

Texas has one of the most exciting players in the entire March Madness field, freshman forward Tre Johnson. Johnson made the SEC All-Freshman Team and led the Longhorns in scoring this season with 19.8 points per game. One of the things that make Johnson so special is that he has no fear and will always look for his shot. He is not afraid of the big moment, despite being a freshman. In the second round of the SEC Tournament, he led the Longhorns to victory over Texas A&M and attempted 21 field goals in that game. In the last game of the regular season, Johnson went 0/14 from the floor against Oklahoma, easily his worst game of the season. That might seem like a negative, but indicates that Johnson has so much self-belief to just keep shooting even if he’s not on his game that night.

My favorite prop bet for this game is for Tre Johnson to make three or more three-pointers. There is great value on this bet with odds of +160 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Johnson is averaging 2.7 made three-pointers per game this season, and hit this number in two of three SEC Tournament games. Xavier does not have a great three-point defense. They rank 187th in the nation in opponent three-point percentage and 137th in opponent three-pointers made per game. Johnson will not hesitate to pull the trigger and should get some good looks against an iffy Xavier defense. Johnson has hit three or more three-pointers in eight of his 12 games, and he should keep the positive trend going on Wednesday night.

Best Bet: Tre Johnson 3+ Made Three-Pointers (+160)
