Tiger Woods has revealed that he sustained a long-term injury and has undergone surgery to immediately begin the rehabilitation process.

Tiger Woods has suffered another major injury setback as he looks to keep his acclaimed golf career going. According to a statement posted by the golfer, he ruptured his Achilles while attempting to ramp up his training to get back to full strength. He has already gotten surgery to help repair his Achilles and he hopes to make a full recovery.
The legend played in just five tournaments last season and only made the cut in one of those five. Woods has not won on the PGA TOUR since the 2019 Zozo Championship. Lately, Woods has been focusing on the TGL, the indoor simulator golf league that he is a co-founder of, as well as a player. Woods is a member of Jupiter Links GC along with Tom Kim, Kevin Kisner and Max Homa, and also made a massive investment as an owner of the league.
It is unlikely that Woods will ever be a top competitor on the PGA TOUR again due to his long-running injury issues that have kept him off the course for so long. However, Woods will hopefully recover well from this Achilles injury so that he can make appearances at majors and TGL events for many years to come.
