Jalen Green entered the league as one of the better scoring prospects in his draft. His ability to score was attractive to many teams, but it was the Rockets who selected him with the No. 2 pick.
He’s in year four now and helping the Rockets to their best season since the James Harden era. Green will match up with the Magic on Monday for the teams’ first game against each other.

Jalen Green over 21.5 points (-120)
Since entering the league, Green has primarily been a scorer for Houston. He’s not stuffing the stat sheet with other statistics, but he’s been consistent in the scoring column for four years.
He’s averaging 21.1 points per game on 42.5 percent from the field and 35.5 percent from deep. There are some efficiency concerns that he hasn’t quite cleaned up over the years, but the volume is there for his prop bet line.
The 23-year-old’s points prop is set at 21.5 points, and it’s a good opportunity for him to go over against the Magic. Amen Thompson has been ruled out and Fred VanVleet is questionable. Even if VanVleet plays, he’ll likely be rusty as he’s only played one of the last 16 games.
That leaves the door open for Green to have more responsibility on offense, including lead guard duties. Without a starting-caliber point guard, the Rockets should allow Green to handle the ball more often, which will lead to more scoring opportunities.
Green isn’t a known facilitator, so he’ll use this usage rate increase to score the rock. It would also be an opportunity for him to break out of his slump. He’s scored 18, 12, nine and 14 in the past four games, but he should bounce back against Orlando.
