Best Karl-Anthony Towns prop bets for Knicks vs. Lakers: Thursday 3/6/25

The Knicks went seven years without a 40-win season during the 2010s, but now they’ve hit the mark in four of the past five seasons. It’s a new era in New York led by Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns.

The major offseason acquisition has helped the Knicks elevate their offense, but they haven’t been able to dethrone the Celtics as intended. New York is third in the Eastern Conference, 3.5 games behind the Celtics and 11.5 behind the Cavaliers.

While the Knicks have won three of their last four, they’ll travel to Los Angeles to play a red-hot Lakers team. The Lakers have won seven straight and eight of their last 10. Luka Doncic is grooving in the purple and gold, which has helped the team rise to the second seed in the Western Conference.

The Knicks are 3.5-point underdogs on the road and the game total is set at 231 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Below, I have featured my favorite Towns prop bets to consider from this contest.

Karl-Anthony Towns over 11.5 rebounds (-125)

Towns has been everything the Knicks expected him to be on offense and then some. The 29-year-old is having one of his best seasons, and it’s helping the Knicks be one of the top offenses in the NBA.

He’s efficient inside and outside the arc while being a willing passer. He’s also one of the league’s top rebounders, posting a career-high 13.4 rebounds per game. That’s his featured prop bet of the game.

At over 11.5 rebounds, Towns doesn’t need to hit his average to clear the mark. He has a great opportunity to do this any night, but especially against the Lakers. Los Angeles averages the 26th most rebounds per game in the NBA this season.

While that ranking has risen to seventh in the past 10 games, there’s reason to believe the Lakers will fall back to Earth. The team shouldn’t be a better rebounding team without Anthony Davis, so this 10-game stretch seems more like a fluke than reality.

The Lakers don’t have a strong interior presence with Jaxson Hayes starting at center. Towns should feast in this matchup and grab far more boards than the 11.5 rebounding line implies.
