It’s been a tough season for the Philadelphia 76ers as their playoff dreams slowly drifted away due to injury factors largely out of their control. One of very few bright spots is guard Tyrese Maxey, who is averaging 26.7 points and 6.1 assists per contest.

While Maxey has logged some incredible performances on the stat sheet this season, he’s been inconsistent since returning from the All-Star break. He’s scored 16, 30, 13, 31, and five points across his last five games, far from the pinnacle of every-night reliability. With that in mind, under 28.5 points could be a play to target tonight at -120 odds.

Another under to target is Maxey’s PTS + REB + AST line of 38.5. The young star has gone under that mark in four of five games since All-Star Weekend, and even against a poor Trail Blazers squad, it’s still worth checking out at -115 odds.

Could Maxey have a big game and go over both of these lines? Yes, but considering his recent struggles, it makes sense to assume he may take a while longer to snap out of this shooting slump. He just went back-to-back games without making a three-pointer, and he’s only hit two or more in one game since the All-Star break. His shots just aren’t falling right now, especially from three, so consider hammering those overs until his shooting numbers come back around.
