Domantas Sabonis Injury Update: 3/3/25 vs. the Mavericks

The Kings beat the Rockets on Saturday night in Houston, but they lost center Domantas Sabonis to a hamstring injury after just one minute. He was not able to return, finishing with just 1.0 fantasy points. The injury will also keep him out of the Kings’ second stop in Texas when they face the Mavericks on Monday.

With Sabonis out, Jonas Valanciunas ($5,400) stepped up with 15 points and 14 rebounds on his way to 49 fantasy points in 30 minutes. Valanciunas will likely be called upon to carry a big workload on Monday as well. Both teams will be extremely short-handed in the frontcourt, which could lead to more small-ball lineups with Trey Lyles ($3,400) or Keegan Murray ($5,200) in the middle.

On the other side of the matchup, the Mavs also listed P.J. Washington (ankle) as out in addition to Anthony Davis (adductor), Daniel Gafford (knee) and Dereck Lively II (ankle). Valanciunas will likely go up against Moses Brown ($5,200) and Dwight Powell ($3,900).

Both centers will be strong values to consider for DraftKings contests, including the NBA $300K Zone Special [$100K to 1st].
