DraftKings NASCAR Pick6 Plays: Top Picks for NASCAR Cup Series EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at COTA

The NASCAR Cup Series EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, is on Sunday and DraftKings is offering a new way to play fantasy NASCAR. The game is simple. Build a โ€œPick Setโ€ (2+ drivers) and decide if they will outperform their stat projections. Here is some advice to help build your DraftKings Pick6ย Pick Sets for the NASCAR Cup Series EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at COTA.

Connor Zilisch: Finishing Position – 8.5

Pick6 Play: Better

It’s his first Cup Series race! Look at the 18-year-old’s first starts. He’s a teenager. Most of his stats are first starts. Most of his stats are wins. Con-Zilla has 37 victories across every racing discipline imaginable. He is him. Kyle Larson is the greatest racer on the planet. Zilly may not be better but he enters a Cup Series that is softer. It took years for Larson to develop. Zilly slides into a quality ride (Trackhouse Racing) with a racing package that is equitable. The training wheels aren’t needed but he’ll take them.

Every DK Network article is in love with Zilisch. Every hardcore racing fan has been infatuated with this kid for years. It’s becoming common for teenagers groomed for a sport to become superstars in their rookie season. Racing isn’t different. This is your chance to buy 1984 Jordans. Zilly is another North Carolinian star that will change the history of the sport.

Chris Buescher: Finishing Position – 13.5

Pick6 Play: Better

Respect isn’t given. It’s earned. Is it? Buescher never gets respect. He’s a top-10 driver. The lowkey RFK racer is a top-five driver at road courses. He navigates the road methodically. The route is run like a delivery driver. The Amazon Prime van is underappreciated but it delivers packages expediently. Buescher delivers the goods consistently. His stats stack up against the best.

Buescher rarely posts great practice times at road courses. He never qualifies well. But when the green flag drops, the delivery driver delivers. Buescher has a top-10 finish in the last two COTA races and three top-15 finishes in the last four races. It’s not a sexy pick but this is NASCAR. Style means less than substance.
