Nikola Jokic’s scoring returned to form last night, but the Nuggets lost 121-112 to the Bucks. The Nuggets dropped to the third seed in the Western Conference and will play the second game of a back-to-back tonight.
Denver faces a red hot Pistons team that’s won eight straight, including a 20-point victory over Boston. This will be the second of two meetings between the Nuggets and Pistons, with Denver winning the first round.
Detroit is favored tonight by 1.5 points at home, and the game total is set at 238.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Nikola Jokic over 1.5 three-pointers made (-115)
Another day, another opportunity to place Jokic prop bets. Yesterday, I opted for his over points total, expecting the MVP candidate to return to form after two low-scoring games.
He easily cleared the 26.5-point line and tallied his 27th triple double of the season. His points prop line remains the same tonight, but instead, I’m returning to my favorite Jokic bet of the season: over 1.5 made three-pointers.
Jokic is playing the best basketball of his career, averaging a triple double while being one of the best three-point shooting bigs in the NBA. He’s shooting a career-high 44.5 percent from distance on 4.5 attempts per game.
While his volume is lower than most top three-point shooters, he ranks top five in three-point percentage in the NBA. Jokic has made at least two three-pointers in 32 of 53 games this season.
More often than not, Jokic has hit this line, so getting it at -115 value is worth the shot. As always, there’s risk at play. The Pistons are currently one of the hottest teams in the NBA.
Detroit hasn’t defended the three-ball well this season, ranking 28th in opponent’s three-point percentage and 26th when considering just opposing centers. However, the team has been considerably better throughout the past eight games.
The Pistons hold opponents to the 12th worst three-point percentage in the NBA over this stretch, and it improves to 11th against just centers.
Even with the improved defense, however, Jokic should be able to hit the over against the Pistons. He can’t be slowed down in all facets of his game, and it would make sense for Detroit to take away his post game before his three-point shot.
