The Celtics are taking on the Cavaliers in Boston on Friday night. Here are the best player props to consider for Jayson Tatum on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Celtics are 2.5-point favorites against the Cavaliers, with an o/u of 233.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Here are the latest lines for Tatum on DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 25.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 3.5 three-pointers.

The Celtics and Cavaliers are facing off in one of the best matchups you will get in the NBA regular season. The Celtics are the defending champions, but it’s the Cavaliers that are the current top seed in the Eastern Conference, 6.5 games ahead of the Celtics. Cleveland has been fantastic all season and has held Boston off, despite how well the Celtics have been playing over the last couple of months. Boston had won 10 of their past 11 games before losing to the Pistons on Wednesday night, and they still trail the Cavaliers by 6.5 games. However, a win in this spot could bring the Celtics within striking distance to chase down the Cavaliers before the regular season ends, earning that coveted home-court advantage for a potential Eastern Conference Finals matchup between the two teams.

These two great teams have faced each other three times already this season. The Celtics are 2-1 in those games, most recently winning in Cleveland earlier this month. Jayson Tatum has been fantastic in the three games against Cleveland this season, averaging 29.3 points per game in the three matchups. While the Cavaliers are a great team top-to-bottom, they are definitely better on the offensive end than the defensive end. They rank 1st in the NBA in offensive rating and 2nd in points per game. However, they rank 7th in defensive rating and 10th in opponent points per game. The Cavaliers are almost always going to get their points, so for the Celtics to beat them in this game, and potentially in the postseason, they will need great offensive performances. While Jayson Tatum isn’t quite on the level of SGA, Nikola Jokic, or Giannis Antetokounmpo when it comes to regularly dropping 35 to 40 points, he is still the go-to guy for this Celtics team and ranks 7th in the NBA in points per game.

My favorite prop bet for this game is for Jayson Tatum to score over 25.5 points. Tatum will need to have a great game to defeat the Cavaliers, especially because the Celtics might be without Jaylen Brown for this game. Brown is listed as questionable after missing Wednesday night’s loss against the Pistons. Without Brown, Tatum will need to carry the offensive load, as he so often does.

The Cavaliers rank 17th in opponent three-point percentage and 12th in opponent fast break points per game. These are areas where Tatum can attack Cleveland and start to rack up points. Tatum scored 27 points against the Pistons with Brown not in the lineup, despite it being a bad team performance by the Celtics. Jayson Tatum should bring his A-game and clear his points prop of 25.5 points.

Best Bet: Jayson Tatum o25.5 Points (-125)
