The Chiefs opened as 1.5-point favorites with juice of -112. The total opened at 48.5 with odds of -110 both ways. The moneyline opened -125/+105 in favor of the Chiefs.

The spread and total have both stayed put at Chiefs -1.5 and o/u 48.5. However, there has been a notable change in the juice on the spread and the moneyline odds. The Chiefs went from -1.5 (-112) on the opener to Chiefs -1.5 (-105). The moneyline odds have changed even more dramatically, from Chiefs -125 to Chiefs -112. When the lines opened, and for a few days after that, you could get the Eagles at plus-money. Now the moneyline is inching toward an even coin flip between the two teams.
Many people share a similar opinion on the two teams, even if they disagree on the outcome. The consensus take on the matchup is that the Eagles have the better roster top-to-bottom but the Chiefs have the two big X-factors: Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid. Despite the Eagles having better metrics on both sides of the ball, the Chiefs have found ways to win games all season even when the odds were stacked against them. The duo of Reid and Mahomes has found ways to come from behind to win Super Bowls, including against the Eagles two years ago. That is why the Chiefs opened as favorites and remained as such, even though the gap is narrowing.
The biggest bets on both the moneyline and the spread at DraftKings Sportsbook have come in on the Eagles. The betting handle is also higher in the Eagles’ favor on both the moneyline and the spread. When the biggest bettors and the public are both on the same side, that will lead to the oddsmakers shifting the odds in that team’s favor. There is still around 24 hours to go before the Super Bowl kicks off, so the odds are still liable to shift more in either direction before the game starts.
