The MLB kicks off the first weekend of May with a 15-game slate on Saturday, May 4. We break down our favorite home run prop bets for the day. Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Best home run bets: Saturday, May 4

Giancarlo Stanton vs. Tigers (+360)

While Tigers pitcher Casey Mize has let up just one home run thus far this season, batters are all over his pitches — he has effectively averaged one hit per inning pitched this season, and relies on his defense to get outs. Stanton is a solid bet for Saturday among Yankees batters — he has six homers under his belt this year.

Taylor Ward vs. Guardians (+475)

Ward goes head-to-head with Guardians starter Ben Lively, who has let up a home run in two of his three starts this season. Mike Trout is sidelined with an injury, and Ward is the next-best home run hitter for the Angels. Ward has seven homers already this season, but has not yet hit one in May.

CJ Abrams vs. Blue Jays (+500)

Abrams has also hit seven homers this season. The Nationals shortstop will face Toronto pitcher Kevin Gausman on the mound. Gausman has an ERA of 4.50 and has let up four home runs this season — including one in his most recent start.
