Seize The Grey wins 2024 Preakness Stakes

It was a muddy track late at Pimlico thanks to some showers, but the sun was shining on D. Wayne Lukas as the 88-year-old trainer becomes the oldest to take down a Triple Crown race as Seize The Grey wins the 2024 Preakness Stakes by two lengths.

The grey of fractional ownership with over 2000 people on the deed held off the favorites in Mystik Dan and Catching Freedom after the final turn, and there will be no Triple Crown winner in 2024 as Dan couldn’t find the closing speed.

For jockey Jaime Torres, it’s almost as miraculous as it was for The Coach: The jockey in his first-ever Triple Crown race takes home the trophy.
