The Bills head into Arrowhead Stadium with hopes of spoiling the Chiefs’ chances at a three-peat. Buffalo finds itself as a 1.5-point underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook with the game total set at O/U 48.5 points. The marquee matchup will be Josh Allen vs. Patrick Mahomes but one matchup that should be fun to watch is Khalil Shakir vs. Trent McDuffie.
Below, I broke down my favorite Khalil Shakir prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for the Chiefs vs. Bills AFC Championship game.
Khalil Shakir Prop Bets
Khalil Shakir To Catch a Pass on First Drive (-110)
Josh Allen’s security blanket all season has been Khalil Shakir. He possesses both great hands and YAC ability and Buffalo makes it a point to get him involved early. He’s hauled in the first reception for the Bills in back-to-back games and has been slightly better in every metric when playing on the road. McDuffie will likely shadow him all game but he is primarily used in the quick-pass game and the Bills have been very methodical offensively this season. They may avoid downfield passes on the opening drive and Shakir will likely be the first target.
Khalil Shakir Over 56.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
The Shakir-McDuffie battle is likely going to lean toward McDuffie overall but I think the Bills are going to lean on Shakir’s YAC ability and get the ball out quickly with screens and quick passes all game. If they do this, they’ll avoid the Chiefs’ potent pass rush while also limiting McDuffie’s ability to make plays in the open field. Shakir has cleared this line in 9-of-17 games (53%) and 4-of-7 road games (57%) this season. He racked up 61 yards in the Wild Card Round and 67 yards in the Divisional Round and will be Allen’s primary target. Shakir ranked second in the NFL in YAC and the Chiefs secondary allowed the ninth-most 20+ yard receptions and fifth-most 40+ yard receptions this season.
