Franz Wagner hasn’t played since December 6, 2024, a span of 17 games due to a torn right oblique. On Tuesday, he was finally able to get back on the court, putting up shots and getting back into shape.
On Friday, ESPN’s Cassidy Hubbarth reported that Wagner could be back in the next seven to 10 days.
Wagner and Paolo Banchero played together for the first five games before Banchero succumbed to injury. The usage rate never exceeded 29% for Wagner during that span. With Banchero out of the lineup, the usage rate spiked for Wagner, often in the mid-to-high 30% range. He will likely revert back to a usage rate in the high-20s playing alongside Banchero.
