Anthony Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Memphis Grizzlies ($8,900) — This is the question of the night: Is it Edwards or Cade Cunningham ($10,400)? Edwards faces a top defense. Cunningham faces a bad defense. Edwards faces the second-fastest team in the history of the NBA. Both are having terrific seasons. Edwards has received criticism for not attacking the rim as much this season. He adjusted to the modern game and started chucking threes. And he’s making threes. His efficiency is through the roof. This season is better than last. His new style may create spacing issues that do not boost his teammates, but who cares? This is DFS.

Mike Conley, Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Memphis Grizzlies ($3,500) — The veteran guard is nothing special. It’s the same Conley as always. He rarely pops up in the ownership simulations. That changes on Saturday. It’s a small slate. The Wolves are in a pace-up game. Conley’s salary has plummeted to the near minimum. DraftKings is almost forcing Conley into NBA DFS lineups. Conley has returned over 5x value in three straight games.

Jaren Jackson Jr., Memphis Grizzlies at Minnesota Timberwolves ($9,300) — There’s fast then there’s the Grizzlies. Memphis is the second-fastest team ever. Is it really that fast? Watch a Memphis game. The Grizzlies sprint every possession. They hired Euro-champ Tuomas Iisalo as an assistant coach. He installed his revolutionary offense. It’s fast and unique. Teams do not have enough days off during the season to gameplan for different offenses. This allows the Grizz to run over their opponents.

Jaime Jaquez Jr., Miami Heat at Portland Trail Blazers ($5,900) — Forget about Jimmy Buckets. The Heat have Jaime Buckets. With Jimmy Butler out, Jaime Jaquez has taken Jimmy Butler’s role in sharing the point. Jaquez has always been known as a great defender, but now he’s expressing his offensive side. The point forward is aggressive and attacks the rim with a devil-may-care attitude. He scored 61 DKFP in his first start of the new Miami era. The next game was down due to the blowout win. The third was a score of 43.3 DKFP in 36 minutes.

Bam Adebayo, Miami Heat at Portland Trail Blazers ($8,400) — Center is not the strongest position on this slate. That’s understandable. This is a three-game slate. Adebayo’s usage rate increases with Jimmy Butler off the court. Adebayo scored 38 DKFP in 29 minutes in his last game. He struggled with his shooting in the first half. That’s not a surprise. Adebayo struggled in the same matchup with Walker Kessler a week earlier (19.5 DKFP). Deandre Ayton ($6,200) is questionable and Jerami Grant is out. The Blazers don’t play defense and have a limited frontcourt.

Nikola Jovic, Miami Heat at Portland Trail Blazers ($4,700) — Those familiar with the weekend edition of the NBA DFS Targets Article know I have my favorites. It is rare that I insert myself in the blurbs, but my bias should be known. Niko or Joker Lite is one of my guys — feel free to fade. That being said, he’s emerging as a star just as I predicted. The kid can play if Spoelstra plays him. He’s a point-per-minute producer and can do more if he’s unleashed. Jovic is scoring and picking up peripheral points. He can run with the starting rotation and lead the second unit.
Other Options — Donovan Clingan ($3,100), Jalen Duren ($5,500)
