The best game of Wednesday’s eight-game slate is the heavyweight battle between the two best NBA teams. The 31-4 Cleveland Cavaliers will host the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, the Oklahoma City Thunder, at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The Cavs’ third-leading scorer, Evan Mobley, has taken his scoring up this season. He is scoring 18.8 per contest this season, 3.1 more than he did a season ago. Here is my favorite Mobley prop bet against the Thunder tonight.
Evan Mobley over 17.5 points (-120)
Mobley is a much more significant part of Clevland’s offense than he was last season. He is attempting 1.6 more field goals, with 1.3 being three-pointers. He is shooting a career-high 41.8 percent on long-range jump shots. Mobley is -120 on DraftKings Sportsbook to total more than 17.5 points in tonight’s game.
He has scored at least 18 points in two of his previous three games and six of his last 10. Mobley has hit this mark 17 times this season. He has also totaled 20 points in the Cavs’ last seven games in which they were favored over the Northwest Division.
Mobley has scored 20 or more points in four of the six games he has played against the Thunder. He scored 18.8 points in 12 games during his last full month in December. Mobley’s efficiency continues to increase, as he has shot at least 57 percent from the field in six of the previous 10 games.
