Kawhi Leonard Status Update: January 8 vs. Nuggets

After playing just two of the Clippers’ 36 games this season, Kawhi Leonard will be stepping away from the Clippers to help his family who were forced to evacuate due to the fires in Los Angeles.

Leonard started each of the last two games, averaging 10 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 20 minutes per game.

Since Kawhi missed the first 34 games of the season, we know how the Clippers will look without him. James Harden ($8,600) has averaged 45.1 fantasy points per game on 21.6 points, 8.0 assists, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 33.5 minutes per game. Norman Powell ($6,700) and Ivica Zubac ($7,700) have also stepped up for the Clippers and fantasy investors.

Despite Kawhi’s extended absence this year, the team is 20-16 and currently the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference. They’ll look to continue pushing for the playoffs Wednesday night in Denver without Kawhi. His next chance to return would be Saturday against the Hornets or Monday against the Heat.
