EA Sports reveals first official trailer for College Football 25 [VIDEO]

Fans of the long-running EA Sports College Football series are struggling to contain their excitement for the game returning this July. This month, we have seen the reveal of the cover athletes and descriptions of what gamers can receive depending on the version of the game they buy. EA Sports has finally dropped the first official trailer for College Football 25.

The trailer emphasizes tradition as it starts with various teams going toward the field, such as Howard’s Rock, the “Play Like a Champion Today” sign at Notre Dame and more. Welcome to the Jungle play as we get our first look at gameplay. Triple options, endzone fades, and mascots galore filled the nearly two-minute trailer. No real features were highlighted, but plenty of teams were featured as we got looks of entrances, touchdown celebrations, and crowds erupting. It was the perfect appetizer that will hopefully lead to specific in-depth feature reveals in the coming weeks.

What stood out about the trailer is attention to detail EA Sports put into nailing some of the unique traditions of each program.

The Illibuck is a weird, turtle trophy awarded to the winner of the Illinois-Ohio State game and what rules about this is that it’s the only world where the Illini can realistically beat the Buckeyes in the near future. EA Sports, turning dreams into reality!

Here’s a cool shot of Alabama offensive lining up with quarterback Jalen Milroe in shotgun. It’s kind of jarring to see actual current college football players in these ads. We’ve come a long way.

And of course, there’s Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, who is one of three cover boys for the new game.

Right after the trailer, EA Sports released more details about the game on their website. Dynasty mode is of course back, as well as Road to Glory and Ultimate Team. Team Builder is also back, so if you want to create Blue Mountain State from scratch, they’ll let you cook.

College Football 25 will be released on July 19. Those who reserve the Deluxe or MVP editions can enjoy three days of early access.
