Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions (Sunday 8:15pm ET)
Both of these teams seem to find a way to win every single week, but somebody is going to be on the wrong side of this matchup for the top seed in the NFC. I trust the Lions just a bit more at home, and it doesn’t hurt that they’re one of the two teams that was able to knock off Minnesota back in October. This game will have a playoff-like feel to it, and I put some weight on the big game experience that Detroit has accumulated over the past couple of years.
Sam Darnold has been rock solid all season, but he’s going to have to play mistake free football in a massive spot on Sunday Night Football. Minnesota has the edge on defense with Detroit a bit dinged up, but I think the offensive edge for the Lions at home is enough to back them here. This is for all the marbles for the No. 1 seed in the NFC and a bye, while the loser has to go on the road in the first-round. While Dan Campbell might be at a coaching disadvantage, he’s going to treat this one like the Super Bowl.
The Play: Lions -2.5 (-120) – 1-unit
