The Ravens take on the Browns in an AFC North divisional battle in Week 18. Here are some Derrick Henry prop bets to consider at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Derrick Henry Prop Bets
Here are Derrick Henry’s current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook. His prop lines are set at o/u 89.5 rushing yards and o/u 20.5 yards for his longest rush. Henry is -230 to score a touchdown and +260 to score the first touchdown of the game.
Derrick Henry has had a monster season for the Ravens. He has been slightly overshadowed by the historic season that Saquon Barkley has had in Philadelphia, which will earn Barkley the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award, but Henry has been amazing. He ranks second in the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. Henry is just one rushing touchdown behind James Cook for the league lead and Cook could be resting for the Bills’ Week 18 finale so Henry could have the opportunity to seize that crown this week.
That being said, for all of their flaws, the Browns have had a tough run defense this season. Of their four phases, passing offense, rushing offense, passing defense and rushing defense, rushing defense has been their strong suit all season. They rank 14th in defensive EPA/rush and 12th in defensive rushing success rate. They have been even better against the rush in the second half of the season. Since Week 11, they rank tenth in defensive EPA/rush and 7th in defensive rushing success rate. There really is no stopping Derrick Henry but the Browns should at least slow him down a bit.
The first time these teams faced, Henry didn’t see much action. That was a game where Jameis Winston and the Browns pulled off a shocking upset over the Ravens. Winston had his best game of the season and the Ravens found themselves in a fight with Cleveland. In that game, Lamar Jackson attempted 38 passes, compared to just 11 carries for Derrick Henry. Henry finished the game with just 73 rushing yards.
My favorite prop bet for this game is for Henry to go under 89.5 rushing yards. The Browns should be able to limit his production again and Lamar Jackson should have a monster game through the air in his final showcase for the NFL MVP. It has been a great season for Henry but he has actually gone under this number in four of his past seven games.
There are multiple paths to winning this bet. The Ravens could take such a large early lead that they decide to rest Henry for the second half, they could find themselves in another rock fight where Henry is consistently stalled out on the ground or the Ravens could try to just let Lamar Jackson rack up crazy numbers to help his MVP case. Regardless of which of those scripts we see, Henry should stay under his rushing prop number.
Pick: Derrick Henry u89.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
