Here are Barkley’s current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 112.5 rushing yards, o/u 2.5 receptions and o/u 10.5 receiving yards. Barkley is -220 to score a touchdown, +260 to score 2+ touchdowns and +230 to score the first touchdown of the game.
Barkley has had an incredible season for the Eagles. He is the runaway favorite to win NFL Offensive Player of the Year with odds of -1200 at DraftKings Sportsbook. The Eagles need to win just one of their final two games or have Washington lose one of their final two games to clinch the NFC East. However, that task did get a bit tougher since Hurts would miss this game against the Cowboys. Hurts left last week’s game with a concussion and has been ruled out for this game as well. Kenny Pickett will be filling in at quarterback, which puts more pressure on Barkley to perform at a high level.
Last week, Barkley ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns against Washington. With Hurts out for most of the game, Barkley ended up toting the ball a season-high 29 times. It should be another massive workload for Barkley in this game to make things easier for Pickett. The Cowboys also have the worst run defense in the league this season. They rank 32nd in defensive EPA/rush compared to a very respectable 11th in defensive EPA/dropback.
Dallas has a solid pass defense but a dreadful run defense. When you face a defense like that with a backup quarterback and the NFL Offensive Player of the Year at running back, you are going to be extremely run-heavy. Therefore, I am backing Barkley to score two or more touchdowns in this game at odds of +260. Barkley has accomplished this feat in six different games this season, including last week. Without Hurts taking away some of the goal-line touches with the tush push, Barkley should get all of the touches when the Eagles are in scoring position. That should result him finding the end zone multiple times in this game.
