The Golden State Warriors lost 115-113 to the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas. They are 3-14 in their last 17 games and 15-14 on the season. They will look to snap their two-game losing streak against the Los Angeles Clippers at 10:00 p.m. ET.
Golden State superstar Steph Curry had a signature performance against the Lakers, scoring 38 points with two three-pointers in the final 45 seconds of the game. He is out and will not play tonight against the Clippers due to knee injury management. After two-up-and-down seasons, Wiggins is back to his 2021 All-Star self. Wiggins went through injuries and a close personal loss in his family. He played in 37 games in 2022-23 and 71 games last season. But even though he played in over 70 games last year, he only averaged 13.2 points per game, a career low.
Wiggins is averaging 17.5 points this season, his most since the 2020-21 season. His field goal attempts have increased by 2.3 while he shoots 42.6 percent on three-pointers, nearly seven percent better than last year. Still, at 29 years old, Wiggins is one of the best two-way players in the NBA and a big part of the Warriors’ future.
