Guard

Stud

Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers at Sacramento Kings ($8,300) โ€” His 40.5 DK FPTS showing on Dec. 19 will create hesitancy. It should not. Phoenix plays great on-ball defense. Bradley Beal is having the best season of his career on defense. Haliburton scored 50.5 and 60.3 DK FPTS in the matchups prior. The Pacers have been inconsistent and have not met expectations, but they’re turning it around. They’ve won four of their last five games. They’re 2.5-point dogs in Sacramento on Sunday. If the Pacers are going to keep pace with the Kings, then Haliburton should play a large role in the effort. This game has the highest total on the slate.

Other Options โ€” De’Aaron Fox ($8,400)

Value

Kevin Huerter, Sacramento Kings vs. Indiana Pacers ($4,600) โ€” Huerter got hurt and lost his spot as a starter. This is a discount based on Huerter’s abilities. His salary lived in the mid-5K range last season. It peaked at $6,300 on a normal slate this season. Huerter’s floor is around 10 points and a handful of peripheral stats. His ceiling is 30 to 40 DK FPTS if one thing happens โ€” his threes fall. He’ll take them. Who doesn’t take them in the modern NBA? Huerter is making 30.8% of his three-point attempts. That’s significantly down from his career average. Huerter should be shooting closer to 40%. If he finds his shot, he wins the slate.

Other Options โ€” Andrew Nembhard ($4,300)

Forward

Stud

Pascal Siakam, Indiana Pacers at Sacramento Kings ($7,700) โ€” The Pacers are playing better. Pascal is playing better. Siakam scored 58.5 DK FPTS in the Pacers win at Phoenix. Siakam is playing over 35 minutes per game. His threes are falling and his peripheral stats are stable. Rebounds are the issue. The Kings crash the boards (top 10 in rebounds). Phoenix is No. 3 and Siakam grabbed 18 rebounds in his 58.5-DK FPT performance.

Other Options โ€” RJ Barrett ($9,200)

Value

Chris Boucher, Toronto Raptors vs. Houston Rockets ($3,700) โ€” Don’t look at the game log. You looked. It’s not great. Boucher isn’t getting the minutes. There’s a reason Boucher is this cheap. He never put it together. The big man is barely a role player. The Raptors are down a man in the front court. This could push “Bouch” a little over 20 minutes. The rebound fantasy points should be there. Can he score? Most of the time the answer is no. Boucher is part of the conversation on a three-game slate with little value. The discussion could be a blowout loss and extra run. The Rockets are favored by eight in Toronto.

Other Options โ€” Amen Thompson ($5,500)

Center

Stud

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets at New Orleans Pelicans ($12,100) โ€” No joke, it will be tough to fade the Joker on a three-game slate. It’s hard to tell the joke on a full slate. The lack of value makes it even more challenging. The comedy club has a tough crowd tonight. Gamelog enthusiasts might convince themselves that Jokic is too expensive, but there’s more to his recent mediocre numbers. He only played 29 minutes in a 22-point blowout win on Dec. 13. The Blazers’ DeAndre Ayton simply outplayed Jokic in his most recent game. Jokic should come out fired up after the loss in Portland. He crushed slates before those two weak nights โ€” 85 DK FPTS on Dec. 8 and 90.5 DK FPTS on Dec. 7.

Other Options โ€” Domantas Sabonis ($9,600)

Value

Jonathan Mogbo, Toronto Raptors vs. Houston Rockets ($4,800) โ€” It’s “Mo-Bo.” Don’t be that guy. Drop the G, put the Raptors C in your NBA DFS lineups. The No. 31 Pick in the 2024 NBA Draft out of San Francisco is starting for Toronto. He earned more work with solid games off the bench in early December. With Jakob Poeltl out โ€” “Pertle” and “Mo-Bo,” do phonemes not matter anymore? โ€” Mogbo was promoted to the starting lineup. Quality production has continued. Mogbo is playing 30 minutes and is averaging just a hair under a point per minute.

Other Options โ€” Jabari Smith ($5,300)
