Is Dorian Thompson-Robinson the best value QB on DraftKings for Week 16?

With Jameis Winston ($5,300) leading the Browns to three straight losses, Cleveland will start Dorian Thompson-Robinson ($4,800) at quarterback this Sunday vs. the Bengals, per the Orange and Brown Report’s Brain Stainbrook.

While the Browns haven’t been winning with Winston at the helm, the Florida State product is a competent passer who is averaging 7.2 YPA this season. Thompson-Robinson on the other hand is a very weak passer, who is averaging a pathetic 3.7 YPA for this career.

The 25-year-old made three starts during his rookie season last year and in those starts, Thompson-Robinson threw only touchdown pass to four picks. Fantasy wise, the quarterback averaged only 7.8 FPTS per game.

Thompson-Robinson does have better rushing upside than Winston, but he likely won’t see enough ground work to make him a viable fantasy asset. Thompson-Robinson rushed three times in his 13 snaps last Sunday after the Browns benched Winston, but in Thompson-Robinson’s three starts last season, he only averaged four carries per game.

So while this is an appealing matchup vs. a Bengals defense that is giving up the seventh-most yards per pass this season (7.0), Thompson-Robinson lacks upside and is a very difficult sell as a DFS option for Week 16, even at his cheap salary.

On the other side of the coin, the Bengals at $3,300 are one of the best D/ST options on the board with Thompson-Robinson starting for the Browns. On top of the four picks Thompson-Robinson threw in his three starts last season, he also fumbled twice and got sacked five times.

On the DraftKings Sportsbook, the Bengals are favored by 7.5 points over the Browns this Sunday.
