49ers vs. Rams Predictions: Week 15 TNF NFL Picks

Thursday Night Football plays host to the air-tight NFC West in Week 15. As bettors look to cast their predictions for 49ers vs. Rams, there are a few different factors to consider, some of which we’ll get into.

Below, you’ll find the betting splits for moneyline, spread and game total predictions that have already been made for 49ers vs. Rams on DraftKings Sportsbook. Following that, you’ll find some of the betable streaks that are active in this game.

Game splits

Moneyline

The visiting Rams (+120) are the popular moneyline prediction on TNF despite being the underdog vs. the 49ers (-142). Los Angeles has seen 64% of the moneyline bets. However, the Rams have only seen 54% of the moneyline handle. That’s still the (slightly) popular angle in terms of handle, but that number being significantly lower than the percentage of bet slips indicates a sharp lean toward San Francisco.

While fewer bets are being made on the 49ers (36%), a greater percentage of handle has gone their way (43%).

Spread

Similar situation to the moneyline here. The 49ers have only seen 37% of the spread bets, but those bets have accounted for 44% of the spread bets.

The spread has moved a decent bit, relative to the fact this opened at the key number of 3-even. But after opening at 3-even, this spread has never exceeded that number. It has, however, dipped down to 2-even and seems to have settled in at 2.5.

Depending on the number it lands at, the moneyline may be the play.

Total

This total has moved quite a bit since opening at 47-even. Right now, it’s sitting at 49-even, but it’s gone as high as 50-even. There have also been some fluctuations throughout. This does take some weight off the splits. Still, the lean is clear here.

On just 31% of game-total bets, the under has seen a whopping 63% of the bets.

To close this preview out, here’s a look at active trends to note while casting your 49ers vs. Rams predictions:

  • The 49ers have not covered the spread in the last nine instances that they were coming off a win.
  • In the last nine games they’ve been favored, the 49ers have won the first quarter.
  • The 49ers won the first half in each of their last nine games vs. the NFC West.
  • The Rams have given up the game’s first touchdown in each of the last nine games that they were road underdogs.
  • Kyren Williams has scored a touchdown in each of the last eight games that the Rams were the underdog. Williams also has 87-plus rushing yards in each of his last seven December games. (Rushing yards O/U is 73.5.)
  • Demarcus Robinson scored a touchdown in each of his last five games vs. the NFC.
  • Puka Nacua recorded 100-plus receiving yards in the last four games that the Rams were an underdog after a win. (Receiving yards O/U is 90.5.)
  • The Rams have lost the last four games in which they were road underdogs vs. the NFC.
  • George Kittle has at least 64-plus receiving yards in each of his last four home games. (Receiving yards O/U is 59.5.)
