Here are Adams’ current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 63.5 receiving yards and o/u 5.5 receptions. Adams is +165 to score a touchdown, +1400 to score 2+ touchdowns and +1100 to score the first touchdown of the game.
The Jets’ season has been a total disaster. They acquired Adams from Las Vegas early in the season to try to fix their struggling offense, but things did not get any better. Not to say Adams has been the problem, as his production has actually been pretty solid with the Jets. In fact, Adams has taken over as the Jets’ most productive receiver for the past several weeks. Garrett Wilson was putting up elite numbers for most of the season, but Adams has become the top option over the past three weeks.
Wilson has just 24 targets over the past three weeks compared to 32 targets for Adams. Adams has 169 receiving yards over that three-game stretch, while Wilson has just 100 yards. Wilson has also failed to find the end zone, while Adams has one touchdown. The Dolphins rank 20th in defensive dropback success rate so the Jets should be able to more easily move the ball through the air. Aaron Rodgers has struggled with pushing the ball down the field this season, but if the Dolphins are willing to give up throws underneath, the Jets should have some success on offense.
My favorite bet on Adams in this game is for him to find the end zone at +165. Breece Hall, the Jets’ leading touchdown scorer, is sidelined with an injury, so Adams will become the top red zone priority. While Braelon Allen has received good action as the backup running back, the Jets are likely more inclined to pass in the red zone. The Jets already rank the highest in the NFL in passing touchdown percentage with 74 percent of scores coming through the air. That’s more than any other team in the league. With Hall’s injury and Wilson’s dip in production, Adams should find the end zone against Miami.
