The Eagles are starting to hit their stride this season, and even with this stunning resurrection of Bryce Young, the Panthers still find themselves underdogs of nearly two touchdowns on Sunday in Philly. It’s a tough game for betting purposes, so let’s look to the props. Well, if you were looking to back Saquon Barkley in this spot, you saw an eye-popping number when you opened up his rushing prop.
Barkley opened up at 113.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook, which I broke down is the highest rushing prop of the season, and fifth-highest since we opened up shop and started taking bets. Barkley has rushed for at least 107 yards in six of his last seven games, and the Panthers rank dead last in the NFL in rushing yards allowed. So the historic number makes sense. While Saquon certainly has the potential to have a massive game here, I’m going to build out a correlated parlay to try and lower the rushing total.
Barkley has found the end zone 13 times already this season, and the Panthers are giving up 1.7 rushing touchdowns per game on the road this season. In all likelihood, the Eagles will win this game at home, thanks in part to Barkley finding the end zone. If we add those two outcomes, we can buy Saquon down to a more reasonable 80 yards on the ground here, which is a number I’m conformable firing on.
