NFL Week 13 Start or Sit: Rome Odunze

NFL Week 13 Start or Sit: Rome Odunze

Rome Odunze ($5,000) has racked up 10 targets in back-to-back games, but he has only produced 10.7 FPTS per game with this usage. The rookie has seen great usage all season with a 20.1% target share, including nine red-zone targets, but Odunze has failed to do much with this role, ranking 85th among receivers in FPTS per snap (0.16).

Odunze has scored single-digit FPTS in eight of his 11 starts and up next is a brutal matchup with the Lions, who are the second-highest graded defense on PFF this season. Detroit is giving up the 10th-fewest yards per pass (6.3) and it uses man coverage at the highest rate in the NFL. This season, only 28% of Odunze’s catches and 29% of his receiving yards have come against man coverage.

This isn’t an ideal spot for Odunze and while he will be able to grind out a few FPTS, you more than likely have better options on your bench to consider for Week 13. Benching Odunze is totally a viable move.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Bears are a 10-point underdog vs. the Lions.
