NFL Week 13 Start or Sit: Tyrone Tracy Jr.

NFL Week 13 Start or Sit: Tyrone Tracy Jr.

Updated:

By: Alex Hunter

Since taking over as the Giants’ starting running back in Week 5, Tyrone Tracy Jr. ($5,800) has generated 15.6 FPTS per game, making him fantasy football’s No. 14 running back during this time.

With the starting job, Tracy Jr. has logged 67.1% of the snaps and he is averaging 14.9 carries per game, which is a huge 75.9% of the Giants’ running back rushes. The rookie has garnered 13 red zone carries during this seven-game stretch and, as a receiver, Tracy Jr. has seen a target on 15% of his routes and he has run a route on 47% of his team’s drop backs.

Tracy Jr. has scored double-digit FPTS in five of his seven games as New York’s starter — including three performances of at least 19 FPTS — and his success should continue against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving day.

Dallas is yielding the fourth-most yards per rush (4.8) and they are the third-lowest graded defense on PFF this season. On the DraftKings Sportsbook, Tracy’s O/U for scrimmage yards is set at 78.5 and he carries +125 odds to score a touchdown, which are the second-best odds for this game.

Tracy is a compelling RB3/FLEX play for season long leagues for Week 13 and he is a great DFS value play at a reasonable $5,800 for Thursday’s three-game on DraftKings, despite the current state of the Giants’ offense.
