PG/SG Kris Dunn ($4,400)
Kris Dunn has one of the better NBA reclamation projects in recent history. The fifth overall pick in 2015 suffered a multitude of injuries at the start of his career and struggled to find a steady home. In 2022, he started bouncing around the G-League before getting a 10-day contract in Utah. It was in Salt Lake City where Dunn finally reached his potential as a lockdown perimeter combo guard, capable enough on the offensive end.
In Dunn’s first season in Los Angeles, he’s gotten plenty of run as a backup ball handler who is becoming more confident in his abilities. He’s been stuffing the stat sheet but struggling with efficiency in his last few outings. Dunn is eight for his last 25 from the field, but he’s consistently getting to his spots and knifing toward the cup—the shots just aren’t falling.
The 30-year-old faces a Philadelphia group that is 17th in defensive rating. Rim protection has been an issue, and Dunn is a talented driver. If the stroke from distance can return, he has a chance to shine and string together impressive DFS outings.
PF/C Chris Boucher ($4,300)
With injuries in the Toronto frontcourt, Chris Boucher is still making the most of his extended role. The only remaining member of the 2019 title team, Boucher is a lengthy big who can stretch the floor. He’s got a serviceable handle for his size and takes advantage of shorter defenders on the perimeter.
He’s becoming increasingly more aggressive in the paint, becoming more than just a sniper from downtown. It’s one of the most consistent stretches of his tenure with the club, as his scoring off the bench continues to be invaluable.
Cleveland has a pair of forces inside but has been susceptible to getting blitzed from beyond the arc. Boucher should have no problem launching plenty of triples and continuing his impressive output.
