LeBron James best prop bets for Lakers vs. Nuggets

Forget Father Time — LeBron James is still one of the NBA’s elite players at the age of 39.

The Los Angeles Lakers are 10-5 through their first 15 games, good for fourth place in the Western Conference. They’re primarily powered by a reinvigorated Anthony Davis, but King James’ contributions cannot be overstated. Through his 15 appearances, Lebron’s averages sit near triple-double status at 24.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 9.3 assists. He’s doing it on fantastic efficiency, too, shooting over 50% from the field and 40% from three.

Here’s the top LeBron prop bets for tonight’s home game against the Nuggets.

For Saturday’s contest between the Lakers and Nuggets, James’ lines are currently set at 23.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 9.5 assists, and 1.5 three-pointers on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Nuggets are 8-6 on the year and just got Nikola Jokic back from a brief leave of absence last night. They rank 11th in offensive rating and 16th in defensive rating, but with Jokic back in the lineup, they’re a formidable foe. Jamal Murray is also a key contributor, while Christian Braun has seemingly taken a leap at the other guard position so far this year.

LeBron has cleared the 23.5-point mark in three of his last five games, with outings of 31, 26, 21, 15, and 35 points in those contests. He’s taking 17.0 shots per game, second most for LA, so the volume for James to hit the over is there. Against a fairly soft Denver defense, and coming off a 31-point game, the over is a solid option at -120 odds.

James has also cleared the 9.5-assist line in three of his last five, with 12, 12, and 14-assist outings in that span. The 9.5-assist line is pretty lofty, but with split odds at -115 on either side, the assists over/under is at least worth a look. Bettors can consider taking a combo line instead, with James’ AST + REB set at 17.5 (-115 odds either way) or PTS + AST at 33.5 (also identical odds at -115 either way).

It may be worth avoiding James’ rebounding line since Jokic eats up the boards like few other players. As an alternative, look to the over on 1.5 three-pointers for LeBron. He’s averaging 2.5 3PM per game on 5.7 attempts, good for 43.0%. It’s the best three-point percentage of his 22-year career. While the over’s odds are listed at -182, perhaps parlay this with another prop to boost the payout.
