Brock Purdy played the entirety of Sunday’s 20-17 loss to the Seahawks, finishing 21/28 for 159 yards, a touchdown and an interception. However, on Monday, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan announced that Purdy is dealing with shoulder soreness and he is now considered day-to-day.
San Francisco has a massive NFC matchup on Sunday in Green Bay, which could prove to be vital for playoff seeding come the end of the season. It doesn’t sound like this is an injury that would threaten Purdy’s ability to play, but you never know in football, especially because it is his throwing shoulder that is in question. If he can’t go, Brandon Allen is listed as the backup quarterback on the depth chart.
